Four paragraphs, no lawyers required.

What this site collects: if you use the contact form, I store what you typed: your name, business, email, phone if you gave it, and your message. It all lives in my database and in my email. I use it for exactly one thing: responding to you and, if we work together, managing that relationship. I keep it for up to 24 months, then delete it. Want it gone sooner? Email hello@chavezdigitalworks.com and I'll delete it.

If you ask me to text you: your number only becomes a number I text if you tick the text box on the contact form yourself. It is never ticked for you, and leaving it alone costs you nothing. I use it for two things: replying if you called and I missed you, and asking you once for a Google review after your work is finished. I do not sell or rent your mobile number, and I never share it, or the fact that you agreed to be texted, with anyone for marketing or promotional purposes. The only outside companies that touch it are the ones that actually deliver the messages, named below, and they are allowed to use it for that and nothing else. Phone carriers require me to put that in writing, and I would tell you the same thing without being asked. Reply STOP to any message and I stop for good. Alongside your number I keep the date you ticked the box, the exact wording you agreed to, and the IP address it came from, because if anyone ever asks me to prove you gave permission, that record is the proof. I keep that one piece for five years after the last message I send you, longer than the 24 months everything else gets. The law lets someone bring a complaint about a text message for four years after it was sent, and the person who has to prove permission was given is me. A record I deleted at two years would be gone while a complaint was still allowed, so I keep it until it cannot be needed. The messages we actually send each other are a different thing and are deleted at 24 months like the rest.

What this site doesn't do: no advertising trackers, no Google Analytics, no social-media pixels, no cookie banner, because there's nothing to consent to. I use Cloudflare's cookieless analytics, which counts visits without identifying visitors. Fonts are served from this site, not a third party.

Who else touches your data: this site runs on Cloudflare, and transactional email (like the confirmation you get after the form) is sent through Resend. If you agreed to texts, your phone number and the messages we send each other also pass through Twilio, which carries the texts to and from your phone, and Make.com, which is the wiring that decides when a message goes out. Those two see your number because there is no way to text you without them. All four are service providers working for me under contracts that let them handle your information only to run this service. None of them is allowed to sell it or use it for their own purposes, and neither am I. Nobody else gets it.
